Being an Android Geek, my mobile battery ends up soon. When I have to travel a long way, my battery ends up in middle. This happens because Google Android and display eats up most of thebattery. Also, using battery too much may reduce the life ofbattery.

Then, finally I found a solution. It is very simple and worked with many of my friends. We can achieve higher battery life by Calibrating Mobile Battery in 2 easy ways. I suggest the first one as it is less time consuming but requires rooting and if you are an experienced ROM flasher you wont find this much difficult and the second doesn’t requires any rooting. Well, here it comes — the first official Android 4.0 update from Samsung, labeled as XXLPQ. Galaxy S2 users in Baltic, Poland, Hungary and other Nordic countries can use the Samsung’s PC software Kies to update their phone to Android 4.0.

But those of us who are apparently not from that area of earth, but are as much eager as one could be about official Ice Cream Sandwich for Galaxy S2, well, there is the Odin software to install the XXLPQ manually. It’s pretty easy and if you’ve been keeping up with us, you may have already done it countless times — XXKP8, XXLPH, XXLPJ, etc. But this time around, we flash the official Ice Cream Sandwich update for Galaxy S2 — XXLPQ.

Well, there are some features missing from the earlier leaks, XXLPH and XXLPJ, like there is no 3d anim effect in drawer and while swiping home screens, which was present in XXLPH and XXLPJ, but other than that, XXLPQ is cool — no touch lags and it’s pretty fast and fully working rom, with TouchWiz 4 UI of course, hate it or not.

So, let’s see how to upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich with XXLPQ, the official Android 4.0 firmware via Kies.

Compatibility

This firmware and the guide below is compatible only and only with Galaxy S2, model number i9100. It’s not compatible with any other device, including US variants of S2, the Epic 4G Touch, T-mobile Galaxy S2 and AT&T Galaxy S2 along with Skyrocket. Check your device’s model number in Settings » About phone. This Ice Cream Sandwich Firmware is available as a CWM flashable rom, which makes it an easy installation process. It has been reeleased by XDA developer mike1986. It’s a pure stock ROM from HTC, and is not rooted. But before you flash this ROM, you gotta update to the latest official stock firmware. Use this guide to update your Sensation to the appropriate base firmware, and after doing that, read on to find out how you can flash the new leaked firmware on your Sensation.

ICS(Ice cream sandwich) ROM for AT&T Galaxy S2! (SGH-i777)(CM9)

Chk out this ICS ROM for AT&T Galaxy S2 SGH-i777! A CM9 port, this ICS ROM is pretty complete except for minor things like the back button and search button not working. Other quicks include the screen turning off and on randomly during its sleep state but if that doesn’t bother you, you can get “almost” full ICS experience on your AT&T Galaxy S2 with Face Unlock working too. Other than those small issues, everything works including data/wifi/bluetooth/camera.

I know you’ve all been waiting for this so go ahead, download this ROM and try it out yourself, very-usable ICS ROM. And yes, it will only get better and better from this point on. View full article »
