Install/Flash Stock Ice Cream Sandwich Firmware 3.32.401.5 on HTC Sensation [Guide]

The HTC Sensation gets yet another leak of Ice Cream Sandwich firmware, version number, 3.32.401.5. It’s not much different from the previous leak, 3.32.401.3, but is an update nevertheless. So those interested to get a nice preview of how ICS — with Sense 3.6, that is — will look like on their Sensation’s awesome qHD display, can give it a try.

This Ice Cream Sandwich Firmware is available as a CWM flashable rom, which makes it an easy installation process. It has been reeleased by XDA developer mike1986. It’s a pure stock ROM from HTC, and is not rooted. But before you flash this ROM, you gotta update to the latest official stock firmware. Use this guide to update your Sensation to the appropriate base firmware, and after doing that, read on to find out how you can flash the new leaked firmware on your Sensation.

Compatibility

This ROM and the guide below are compatible only and only with the HTC Sensation. It’s not compatible with any other device. Check your device model in Settings » About phone. Continue reading

ICS(Ice cream sandwich) ROM for AT&T Galaxy S2! (SGH-i777)(CM9)

Chk out this ICS ROM for AT&T Galaxy S2 SGH-i777! A CM9 port, this ICS ROM is pretty complete except for minor things like the back button and search button not working. Other quicks include the screen turning off and on randomly during its sleep state but if that doesn’t bother you, you can get “almost” full ICS experience on your AT&T Galaxy S2 with Face Unlock working too. Other than those small issues, everything works including data/wifi/bluetooth/camera.

I know you’ve all been waiting for this so go ahead, download this ROM and try it out yourself, very-usable ICS ROM. And yes, it will only get better and better from this point on. Continue reading

AOKP ROM for AT&T Galaxy S2 SGH-i777 [Ice Cream Sandwich]

AOKP ROM, an AOSP custom ROM based on Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0.3 seems to be conquering a lot of devices each passing day, as more and more devices get an AOKP port. The latest to join the party is the AT&T Galaxy S2 SGH-i777, the AT&T branded sibling of the international Galaxy S2 i9100, thanks to a port by XDA developer Fenny.

AOKP ROM brings a stock Android experience with fast performance, and a level of customization not seen on other ROMs. It’s built entirely from source, so you will find no manufacturer-added stuff like custom UIs etc on AOKP.

The ROM is in beta stage so exercise caution while trying it out, as it still has bugs and issues present, which should be resolved as time goes by. Read on to find out how to flash AOKP ROM on your AT&T Galaxy S2 i777.

Compatibility

This ROM and the guide below is compatible only and only with the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S2, model number SGH-i777. It’s not compatible with any other device and may render an incompatible device unusable. Check your device model in Settings » About phone. Continue reading

Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) Rom for Wildfire in Development

We know there are many HTC Wildfire users who are looking up to internet in the hope of one cool Android 4.0 custom rom port for them, too. Wildfire packs in only 600MHz of processing power, btw, and even Google has expressed its inability to bring the Ice Cream Sandwich love to its 1GHz processor powered Nexus One, so it would be nothing less than a work of genius if somebody does port it over to Wildfire, or any phone powered by less than 1Ghz processor.

Anyway, kaassaus at XDA took the Droid Eris’ Android 4.0 ROM and replaced its boot.img with the Wildfire’s CM7’s boot.img while also editing the build.prop as required, to get the Android 4.0 booting on Wildfire. Well, it’s good to hear that an ICS Rom has booted, but that’s that — the touchscreen needs a fix (it currently shows a mouse pointer) and everything else needs to be done.

No doubt, it’s gonna take huge time, if this dream ever becomes a reality. Continue reading
